The Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) program, offered through the University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Management, delivers first-hand, real-world experiences, successes, and lessons learned. The HSEM program prepares you for a service-driven life where you operate under different rules and make crucial decisions. Whatever the scenario, your impact will be unmistakable.

The HSEM undergraduate program currently offers a Bachelor of Emergency Management (BEM) degree, as well as several minors and an occupational endorsement. Our students receive training for meaningful jobs with good wages and significant growth opportunities. We work with our students to help them find the best employment or continuing education classes or programs.
